The Macon District Volunteer Fire Department was founded in 1972. The company is located in the western in of Powhatan, at the intersection of Rt. 13 & 681.

Our department has dedicated men and women serving the community and we are 100% volunteer. We respond to fire & EMS emergencies in the County and also assist our neighboring Counties through mutual aid when requested.
